Rob Says: This lot from ASMAN GAYO MILL made waves in 2019 as one of the cleanest cups from that side of the Indian Ocean — and it’s just as stunning today.
While Indonesian coffees are traditionally processed using the Giling Basah (wet-hulled) method, this one stands out for its fully washed process, delivering exceptional clarity and balance.
At Asman’s farm, all cherries are handpicked and brought to his own wet mill, where they’re pulped using a disc pulper, wet-fermented for 12 hours, and then soaked for 24 hours before being dried on raised beds under covered patios.
Expect a clean, sweet, and structured cup that shines on espresso — and surprises beautifully on filter, too.
