Process: Washed

Screen size: 1 lot of AB and 1 microlot of Peaberry 

Soil: Red volcanic soils that are rich in phosphorus and well drained

Rob Says: Always fun to buy two coffees from the same station. They come close to one another in taste, with the AB tasting a bit Ethiopian like and the smaller PB being a little more dense and acidic.

Most of the coffees from Nyeri develop and mature slowly producing extra hard beans. This quality is also evident in the cup. This is why Nyeri is traditionally known as the heart of Kenya’s black gold coffee.
