Rob says: We’re all familiar with Yellow Bourbon and the classic Colombia variety — but the YELLOW COLOMBIA is a bit of a hidden gem. That’s why we’re excited to feature this unique coffee at Caffenation.

This washed coffee comes from Lisandro Aldana, grown at 1700 meters above sea level. The plants are easily recognized by their bright yellow cherries when ripe — the result of a research project that began in the late 1960s. Developed for its resistance to coffee rust, this variety also offers brighter, more delicate high notes than the regular Colombia, making it especially well-suited for filter brewing or as a base for ‘milk drinks’.
